چکیده

The galls of Quercus infectoria (QI) have been reported to possess numerous medicinal values and give a positive effect on bone metabolism. This study investigated the effects semi-purified fractions QI gall extract proliferation, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, mineralisation human foetal osteoblast cell line (hFOB1.19). (fraction A B) were prepared by column chromatography methods. MTT assay was used measure proliferation activity obtain half maximal concentration (EC50) cells treated with fraction (phenolic components contained amide), B presence alkene), pamidronate (drug control). most potent or lowest EC50 further ALP in untreated at day 1, 3, 7, 10, 14 ELISA. Cell determined von Kossa staining for phosphate depositions Alizarin Red S calcium depositions. 8.86 9.92 μg/mL, respectively, which showed greater compared (15.27 μg/mL). ALPactivity both also two control groups (cells cells), starting from 3 onwards. appeared as red spots, while black spots. Interestingly, higher than those groups. In conclusion, enhanced improved mineralisation, increased hFOB 1.19 cells.

Evaluation of Analgesic Activity of the Methanol Extract from the Galls of Quercus infectoria (Olivier) in Rats

The present study aims to investigate the analgesic activity of the methanol extract of the galls of Quercus infectoria in rats using hot plate and tail-flick methods. The extract was administered intraperitoneally at a dose of 20 mg/kg while morphine sulfate and sodium salicylate (10 mg/kg) served as standards. The methanol extract exhibited significant analgesic activity in the tail-flick mod...
